Concerts..Beach..Americans...all in Italy!

Today is our somewhat chill day...we're just gonna hang out in Bologna...because we have meeting tonight.     

This was our spot down by the main road that we found free wifi woo hoo we loved that spot! 

By the time we got downtown it was lunch time and we didn't know what to get....Tat wanted pizza and when I went to go look at it...it made me gag just a lil but then I noticed there was some that had no saucy...yay!!! Soo I can proudly announce I ate pizza...in Italy!! Lol.

The town doesn't have a lot to see...it's mainly shops but all the shops are in these ancient buildings and all the walk ways are all arched soo that was cool.

We got a super duper yummy granita..mine was watermelon!  Yummmmm

The one big fountain down town was Neptunes fountain...I liked it..lit was silly! 

Of course I had to copy the stature and its not my fault they are being weirdos and holding their boobs!! Lol

After taking this picture and a few more...I eventually got an audience and it didn't help that the wind was kicking up and so was my dress with is lol.  After flash some butt cheek this is the reaction I got out of the boys ....

They were just staring....it was sooo funny!!

After going around town we thought we would get some groceries and head back to get ready for meeting. We both wanted watermelon and they were super cheap so we bought a massive one that was like 7 kilos...13lbs. And a bunch of other junk...not thinking that we were gonna have to walk all the way back down the long road to the house... In the heat. Ughhh 

When we were half way there we thought we would take a lol rest...I know we're pathetic lol 

But as we're sitting there just a few feet away we hear.....tires screeching and a bang.... Some car just hit a guy on a scooter and he jumped and bailed.....we didn't know what todo...thank goodness it was near some shops and all those people can running out. So we just kinda watched from a distance.  The guy was alright just very shaken up. 

So then we headed home by the time we got home we were dying of heat and sweating buckets and we get into the apartment and its 10x hotter...ugfggggghhhh   So for the first 5 min we just layed there and had a fan fest! Lol  then by the time we got ready walked down the long bloody road and got the bus to get to the meeting we were late...oh well!! 

In the morning we headed to Florence! 

This little boy kept coming up to us and talking to Italian to us...he was soo cute.

Once we got there is was so warm and we had to walk a bit we decided to get a granita. Yummy! 

Florence didn't have a whole lot to see...it had a big huge ol church..and lots and lots of markets and some weird obsession with wort hogs!! Lol

This ol church was beautiful and soo sooo detailed but once you go in..nothing...complete emtiness like a warehouse.  It also had a "gold" bridge...supposedly the only one in the world that only sells gold!  And it had heaps of shops but it had a good view as well! 

So Friday was our day to go to Veraggio and chill at the beach and go to that concert.

The plan wasn't really set until the day before and so they said they would let us know when we needed to meet them and junk, so we can ride down with em. Soo we went to our wifi spot...and they had txt us (well knowing we weren't gonna get it til that morning) and said that we should ,set them at 10.... It was 10:30 at this time sooo the end result is that they left with out us.  I was ok with it..and figured we would take the train and just meet up with them. Tat on the hand was freaking out. "How dare they leave us" "Shouldn't they feel responsible for us since they invited us". "Why would they leave with out eating a hold of us".  She was fuming.    I was like..whatev...I guess I've gotten used to just going with the flow. Sooo then we had to go to the train station and get tickets and while waiting for our train we got the best chocolate gelato ever!!  We almost missed our train though so we had to run and my pants were falling down and gelato was flying everywhere...so by the time we got to the train I had gone a lil crazy! Lol

Once we got there we found out that everyone had gone to Pisa and were at some other beach!  So we were bummed about missing out on that. Tat was soo angry again.   But we hadn't even planned on going there soo no loss I thought.  Soo while we waited to meet up with them all we hung out on the beach and walked around the pramanade. 

So we finally met up with them and got something to eat. And met a few more peeps that were going. Then we headed off to the concert. When we got there is it was around 10 and David Guetta didn't come on until 12... So there was a bunch of other DJs just doing their thing... We got right in the middle of it and the dancing/jumping and fist pumping was outta control! Between the heat and the mass amount of people the sweat coming off me and everyone was disgusting...I seriously don't think I have ever sweated soo much in my life! Ew

There was a group of guys that were right near us and they kept photo bombing all our pics...and one random guy Roberto became best friends with them and us especially Luke and Me!

When David Guetta came on..well before he came on the base and music they had was like somthing I have never felt before. It like vibrated your whole body including your insides lol it was soo intense! 

 

He liked me and kept talking to Burgo in Italian about all this crazy stuff it was so funny!

After the concert we all went down to the beach...cause that's where we were staying for the night...but when they said were staying in the beach I thought that ment we would chill and not really sleep since it was like 4:30 in the morn already. But nope everyone kinda passed out and slept. Burgo got down to his speedo and went for a swim and I could stop laughing about that lol...so everyone was asleep except for me obviously cause I wasn't tired and soo I was just kinda sitting around and it was funny everytime someone woke up and looked around I was sitting there wide eyed and was like.."hi".  It was really funny!  So finally I got up and went for a walk..it was really pretty to watch the sun come up over the big ol mountains behind the town! 

So once everyone was awake and we got coffee. We went to another beach a ways away and hung out there all day and swam and just chilled. Tat didn't want to go swimming and it was a bit awkward but that was her issue!  So then half the group went home and we hung round and wnt to lunch and chilled it was a posh part of a town! 

The next day was meeting and I had to say bye to everyone..since I was headed to Rome on Monday. It was so cute there was a bible study who had 2 kids and they all loved me and wanted to sit with me. They were cute! 

That afternoon we went out with a sister and got lunch and chatted...appently Tat had spent a bunch of time with her lat time...she was really sweet but a bit odd.

After that Kim had invited us to come over to her place and use the wifi!!! We love wifi!! 

Then we had arranged for a few people to meet up with us a park for gelato. Tat kept going on and on about how beautiful this park was and how romantic it was soo we were teasing her about that and she got all snooty but when we got there it was right at sunset and it was in fact really beatiful.

Then Monday morning rolled round and it was time to part ways...she was leaving the next day and I was headed down to Rome. It was soo funny as we were walking to the station we hear behind us......"where you going ladies" in a heavy heavy Italian accent. And I turned around and it was Palo. One of the guys from the hall...it was soo funny! 

So I arrived in Rome and set out to find my little hotel.  I went walking for a bit but I had no dea where I was...and I couldn't remember the name even lol.  So I called mom about 10 times....I'm so glad I wasn't dying lol no answer no answer...I called dad and he was at work but oddly enough he remembered the name...I was impressed!   So then I went a found it...it was so little and old and quaint and I had my own little room which was soo funny! 

So I thought to myself I'm in Rome I can't just sit around in my room.. S I went out and bought a map and thought I would plan my route by some kind of fountain I'm sure I would find! So I went wandering and sure enough I came upon this piazza. 

And I kept walking and kept walking and just kept coming across these amazing huge old buildings! 

And finally I walked down this one street and BAM!! The colosseum!! Wasn't expecting that but it was really cool all lit up and stuff!

The next day I was off to see more of the city!  The Fountain of Trevi was amazing...I love fountains!  It's also soo good about all Italian city's especially Rome is that they have a good underground water system and soo they have ice cold water fountains everywhere! 

I went to the Spanish steps around mid-day and it was good cause there wasn't very many people around cause nobody wanted to sit in the sun cause it was roasting out lol

I asked a nice Austrlaian couple to take my picture and I did a normal picture and then I was like I am gonna so a leg kick and he was all.."Go for it the camera agrees with you" lol it was so random and when I looked he had taken like 5 or 6 pictures lol

I ran into some Wintesses.. They were super nice...the guys were in the English cong and the sister were Italian. It was funny though cause they were asking about me traveling and junk and I said I was by myself and the one guy goes.."I've never herd of someone doing that??"  He was all confused and I was like uhh yea well I am lol 

I felt a little bad because right after I talked to them I went and walked into the Pagan church!! Lol oh wells

I was just walking around and found a castle!! Booya

The Vatican was so massive and soo hot!! I didn't want to wait in the line for hours to get in but it was still cool to see and everything. I liked all the pullers it had all around! 

Half way during the day I went back home and just layed in my room with the AC blasting!! 

Then I went back out so I could see some different sights at night all lit up and everything! 

The next day was my day to see the really old stuff! Like the forum....all the old ruins that they are still currently digging up! 

I think this is my one of my new favorite pics!! The combo between the collseum and flowers and sun and idk I love taking untraditional pictures in awesome places!! 

It was so funny...when I was coming up from all the old ruins there was a police man and he's like Hey! Where are you from?? And he just totally started chatting me up. Then all the sudden he said.."you want picture?" I was like uh ok I'll take a picture of you and he's like "no no no we take picture together" I was like uhh who's gonna take it? And then all the sudden there was a guy walking by and he got this mean police man voice on and was all, " Excuse me..I need you to take a picture of us right now!" It was so funny..the guy just looked at me and then the cop and was all..ok! Lol 

This is inside a huge building that's right down town..and you walk in and it had a beautiful courtyard! 

I walked up to a park that was overlooking the whole city and it had an awesome view! 

I left the next morning super early but at the airport I saw this...it's a coffee and chocolate shop...I thought the name was fitting!! :) 

So all in all....Italy was absolutely amazing and I came away with new friends and amazing stories!!     Now it's off to Brussels!
