Countdown is on!!!

So I officially only have 2 weeks left in Ireland and I'm not gonna be in Ireland the whole time! He he he

This week I worked quite a bit... I had to work Saturday night and early Sunday morning :/.  But I'm not complaining cause I'm gonna get a few days off woo

So after I went to the meeting I went into Dublin and went to the Guinness factory...it's the last major Ireland   attraction that I feel I needed todo...even though I don't like beer lol

The factory it's self is massive!! Takes up a huge area in the downtown Dublin area.  Come to find out the owner guy signed a contract for 9000 years and only has to pay £48 a month for the prime spot....now that's a deal!  So the tour it's self is a self guided tour that is in this pint shaped building that has seven floors... The first was all about how you make the beer.....
You need lots of fresh water!
 And places to keep it!

....and then there was a floor with the history of the beer....and then a tasting room....

....and then about the advertisement aspect of the beer.....
 The zoo keeper!

....and then there was a Guinness academy that showed you the 6 steps of pouring a Guinness and then you got to pour your own pint and got an award for pouring the perfect pint!

I drank like two sips and it definitely had a better taste being fresh and all but ughhh*gag* it's soo gross don't like beer and dark beer at that!! Lol

Tuesday was the boys actual birthday so they are officially one! I watched the kids In the morning ...so Jen could sleep... But then I had the rest of the day off.  Men's parents came up and they were having a little cake and thing for the boys so I got out of the house and went and saw Superman!!

Wednesday Jen went to Belfast all day with her friend for some shopping and I had the kids all day..it went really good!

Belgium this weekend...can't wait to see a friend!! :)

Can't wait!

So this week I got a job!! Woo hoo!!!

I'm soo excited. It's down in Australia and actually in the same town..no more like same neighborhood as last time... How silly is that!!   But I'm super stoked!!

So this weekend Jen and Joe and the kids all went down to Cork for the weekend...so I had the house to myself!! I still just stayed in my room.  I have been starting to pack cause I only have like 2 1/2 weeks left and I have to get rid of some clothes :/

I was bored and I had a revelation and needed a change for all this fun stuff coming up...so I dyed my hair bright red!! Woo hoo. Yay.  I love fun hair and not boring natural hair..I'm surprised I held out for so long!

So I had Monday off as well, since they were still in Cork. So I thought I would go into Dublin and do some sight seeing junk.

I got to town around noon and met up with ibis girl I had met the week earlier from Australia. She was super sweet so we went to lunch and then just walked around and went shopping. While we were headed to a store the road was blocked off and all these people were gathered around and we were all thinking...what in the world is going on...and we were annoyed cause we had to walk all the way down the street and then up and around to get to the store....while we were at the other end I asked someone what was going on...the Obamas are in town and are supposed to be walking down this street!  Woohoo...I mean that's cool but I'm not gonna stand around waiting lol. So we keep walking and get right to the store and then this guy stops us..I was thing oh brother I just wanna shop.  Then I look to my right and there's Barrack with a bunch of guards and then I look to my left and here comes Michelle and the girls...like 2 ft away from us and I was like "Hi".  And she looks at me and says "Hello" and keeps walking.  I was in shock...I could of literally reached out and touched her.  It was so funny all these ppl waiting to see her and I'm all right there with her muhaahhaahhaha.   It was pretty cool!

So after some more shopping my friend had to go home, which is cool I went todo some cheesy touristy stuff.  I went to Trinity collage...I was gonna see the Book of Kells but it was to late, oh well I didn't care that much.
After that I wanted to go to Dumblina or the Guinness factory but they were ll closed for tourist by this point :(  so instead I walked all the way across town and even further to go to the Glasnevin cemetery.

It's the oldest and biggest cemetery in Ireland!  It was absolutely amazing!!  I am so glad it was after hours and there was no tour groups or anything.  I had so much fun just walking around and it went on and on and on. There is supposedly 1.5 million ppl buried there.

The tombs and huge headstones were amazing for there time. I seriously thought it was the coolest place. I so wish my mommy was there to see it too!!

After this I was just walking around on the older side of town that I haven't spent much time at...there's lots of cool churches and building right in town!

 I'm such a spaz! Lol

So all in all I had a fun day, I will have to go back next week so I can do those other things!

Only a week til Brussels!! Yay!

Soooo nice!!

So from last Monday to this Monday...and not a day more or less it has been absolutely amazing weather...for Ireland! It's been soo nice!  But I really do think that's all they get...one nice week a year. Where its blue skies all day and the temp gets to be about 75 tops!

I was talking to this lady in the shops and she was going on about how horrible it was and how the heat streak needed to end....I was thinking ...are you kidding me right now?? And that its almost 20 degrees hotter back home!! Lol

One of the afternoons we all went out to Emo  Gardens.  Where I thought it was gonna be like a botanical garden thing but it was just a huge park sorta with a big mansion and a pond and stuff, don't get me wrong it was soo pretty  and kept up nice just to as many flower and junk as I was expecting.
I took the tour of the mansion and the history of stuff around here is so interesting.  After that I went and layed in the huge field of Buttercups...it made me feel I was in The Wizard of OZ or something when they fall asleep,in the flowers lol

Since it was so nice and hoping it would stay for the weekend, I booked The cliffs of Mohr tour...again and was determined to see it this time lol

So I got up super early and took the bus into the city and then got on my tour bus..there was a rather cute Australian guy sitting next to me, so it wasn't to bad ;).

So we had a 2 hour drive to the Cliffs...the first place we stopped were called The Baby Cliffs.
They are still pretty cool!

Pretty much across the street and up this teeny hill was The Burren...it wasn't that amazing but its just weird all this flat rock in the middle of nowhere lol

After this we had to drive down to the actual Cliffs of Mohr.  It was really amazing.  The bus driver kept saying...it's such a nice day...then about 10 min later he would say again....I don't think you guys realize how nice of a day it is lol.... Then he's said..I do this tour 3to 4 times a week and normally you can't see the Mayo mountains or even the bottom of the cliffs.  And we had crystal clear sky!!! Yay. Good weather!

This is all the little farms that you could see when you looked the other way from the cliffs.

After this we went to get lunch in Donogal.  It's a teeny tiny fisher town.

Then we headed to Bunratty castle.  We only had like 25 min here..and the tour and junk took over an hour soo there wasn't a whole lot for us todo....so my new friend and his friends bought me a beer!! :).
The castle wasn't that cool looking anyway lol.

So from here we headed back to Dublin.  They asked me if I had any plans...I didn't. Soo we went out for a drink! They were like super nice Aussie ppl...made me soo excited about going back down under!

So then Sunday went to meeting...and one of the families asked if I wanted to go with them to lunch. They have a 17 year old son and 15 year old girl, they are really sweet...hard to understand though..they are Polish and German! Lol.  But it ended up being like all the young guys from our hall.  Which was fine I got next to the one guy who avoids me and so he was forced to talk to me. Hah

Tuesday we headed down to Cork. Jen wanted to spend a few days with her parents! So when we got into town she dropped me off at the train station and I went into Cobh aka Queeenstown aka Cove.  It's the main port in all of Ireland. It's where all the famine boats left from, also the immigration boats and the last stop for the Titanic. It's a really small town but it has loads of history soo I went to the little museum they have there all about the history!
One super weird thing was...so it's a big museum all about the history of everything...but out of everything they talked about they only named two specific city's.  Which were..Castle Hill, Australia and Spokane, Wa..... How weirdo is that. The last two towns I lived in.  They could of been any cities in Australia or the US and it was those. I thought it was super weird.

So we spent the night in Midleton. It was good, her parents are nice but her dad has the most hillbilly accent and I could barely understand and a thing he says and he loves to talk so that makes it weird.

The next day Jen wanted to see some friend soo I went and did the Jameson Whiskey tour.   It was pretty cool, lots of old buildings and its amazing how they had todo suptuff back in the day. It's amazing they even figured it out.
Towards the end of the tour she asked for 4 volunteers for some taste testing. These old guys from Tennessee volunteered and then me!  Hahah they kinda just looked at me!  Cause they knew all about whiskey and I didn't have a clue!

So we get to this room and the table is set p for us with 3 lil shot glasses and we all had to sit down and everyone in the tour (about 30) surrounded the table. And there was Jameson whiskey, Americans whiskey (JD) and Scottish whiskey. We had to taste the difference in all of them and whatever.  One of the guys wives was all talking to me and was like "now arnt you just the cutest lil thing... I need your picture....you know we're all gonna be talking about you later" lol.  Then later she said again.." You have the cutest little Irish accent".   Ohh man what's wrong with my crazy accent lol.   Anyway it was fun and at the end of the tasting they gave us certificates.

Then we went home!

**Only one month left!** :D

Plan...planning...plans!

Soo were back from Spain....back to reality!  Which means...rain and coldness lol

And heaps and heaps of laundry...the first 2 days back that's all we did!

Soooo June...is gonna be madness. It's my last month here..so I wanna get everything in. And Jen wants todo a bunch of stuff while I'm still here.

So she wanted to "go out" with some of her friends down in Cork! So she gave me Thursday and Friday off since I had to work some of the weekend!

So on Thursday it was bright and blue sky and beautiful! I was soo happy!    I got on the bus and took it to a bigger town and went shopping! :).  And went to see The Great Gatsby! It was soooo good I totally loved it!  So that was a fun day!    I had to go to bed early though cause I was getting up,super early so I could go on the Cliff of Mohr tour.

So I wake up hearing Jen in the kitchen and my heart sinks :(.  I woke up 3 hours late! Sooo sad! I had set my alarm for PM and not AM I am such an idiot! I was seriously soo incredibly bummed this was my last big thing todo in Ireland and I missed it. Good thing I hadn't paid yet!   Soo instead of that Jen suggested I go to Galway on the train! Which I have heard loads of things about Galway and did want to see it. So I jumped on that and went there for the day!

This is the train station...it's soo old!
Pretty much what the whole town looked like!

These two old dodgy guys were hauling this log around...I had no idea what they were doing. When I got up close they stopped and the one old guy asked me if I needed a B&B....and I was like no I'm good...he's like well my house could be for you!!!   Ya old perv! Lol
I keek'd it!

Appently that walk way is sung about in P.S. I love you!  So that's kinda cool! Lol

After that I just walked around town.

So the next day I had to watch the kids all day while Jen was away. It was fine i just had the twins!

Next evening Miriam came and picked me up and we went to a tiny little town about 15 min away and they had some traditional Irish dancing and music!  Jut out on the street! It was pretty cool!
Then we went for a beer! Lol

Tuesday I went for a long long walk up to the Rock of Dunamase.... Where I could watch the sunset. It had been soo clear and I thought I should go see it over looking Ireland at least once. I almost almost missed it cause it was so much further then I thought...but I made it just in time :)

And that's pretty much it for that week!!

Gonna be pretty darn hectic for the rest of my time here!

Eeekk so excited!
