I was talking to this lady in the shops and she was going on about how horrible it was and how the heat streak needed to end....I was thinking ...are you kidding me right now?? And that its almost 20 degrees hotter back home!! Lol
One of the afternoons we all went out to Emo Gardens. Where I thought it was gonna be like a botanical garden thing but it was just a huge park sorta with a big mansion and a pond and stuff, don't get me wrong it was soo pretty and kept up nice just to as many flower and junk as I was expecting.
I took the tour of the mansion and the history of stuff around here is so interesting. After that I went and layed in the huge field of Buttercups...it made me feel I was in The Wizard of OZ or something when they fall asleep,in the flowers lol
Since it was so nice and hoping it would stay for the weekend, I booked The cliffs of Mohr tour...again and was determined to see it this time lol
So I got up super early and took the bus into the city and then got on my tour bus..there was a rather cute Australian guy sitting next to me, so it wasn't to bad ;).
So we had a 2 hour drive to the Cliffs...the first place we stopped were called The Baby Cliffs.
They are still pretty cool!
Pretty much across the street and up this teeny hill was The Burren...it wasn't that amazing but its just weird all this flat rock in the middle of nowhere lol
After this we had to drive down to the actual Cliffs of Mohr. It was really amazing. The bus driver kept saying...it's such a nice day...then about 10 min later he would say again....I don't think you guys realize how nice of a day it is lol.... Then he's said..I do this tour 3to 4 times a week and normally you can't see the Mayo mountains or even the bottom of the cliffs. And we had crystal clear sky!!! Yay. Good weather!
After this we went to get lunch in Donogal. It's a teeny tiny fisher town.
Then we headed to Bunratty castle. We only had like 25 min here..and the tour and junk took over an hour soo there wasn't a whole lot for us todo....so my new friend and his friends bought me a beer!! :).
The castle wasn't that cool looking anyway lol.
So from here we headed back to Dublin. They asked me if I had any plans...I didn't. Soo we went out for a drink! They were like super nice Aussie ppl...made me soo excited about going back down under!
So then Sunday went to meeting...and one of the families asked if I wanted to go with them to lunch. They have a 17 year old son and 15 year old girl, they are really sweet...hard to understand though..they are Polish and German! Lol. But it ended up being like all the young guys from our hall. Which was fine I got next to the one guy who avoids me and so he was forced to talk to me. Hah
Tuesday we headed down to Cork. Jen wanted to spend a few days with her parents! So when we got into town she dropped me off at the train station and I went into Cobh aka Queeenstown aka Cove. It's the main port in all of Ireland. It's where all the famine boats left from, also the immigration boats and the last stop for the Titanic. It's a really small town but it has loads of history soo I went to the little museum they have there all about the history!
One super weird thing was...so it's a big museum all about the history of everything...but out of everything they talked about they only named two specific city's. Which were..Castle Hill, Australia and Spokane, Wa..... How weirdo is that. The last two towns I lived in. They could of been any cities in Australia or the US and it was those. I thought it was super weird.
So we spent the night in Midleton. It was good, her parents are nice but her dad has the most hillbilly accent and I could barely understand and a thing he says and he loves to talk so that makes it weird.
The next day Jen wanted to see some friend soo I went and did the Jameson Whiskey tour. It was pretty cool, lots of old buildings and its amazing how they had todo suptuff back in the day. It's amazing they even figured it out.
Towards the end of the tour she asked for 4 volunteers for some taste testing. These old guys from Tennessee volunteered and then me! Hahah they kinda just looked at me! Cause they knew all about whiskey and I didn't have a clue!
So we get to this room and the table is set p for us with 3 lil shot glasses and we all had to sit down and everyone in the tour (about 30) surrounded the table. And there was Jameson whiskey, Americans whiskey (JD) and Scottish whiskey. We had to taste the difference in all of them and whatever. One of the guys wives was all talking to me and was like "now arnt you just the cutest lil thing... I need your picture....you know we're all gonna be talking about you later" lol. Then later she said again.." You have the cutest little Irish accent". Ohh man what's wrong with my crazy accent lol. Anyway it was fun and at the end of the tasting they gave us certificates.

GREAT shot of the cliffs! How fun and exciting! I am so happy you don't sit home, but get out there and see things!!! Thanks for posting!
